User Meeting: Growing, Understanding, and Shaping Together

The Mesalvo FUTURE HEALTH Summit was more than a conference – it was a place for exchange, collaboration, and the joint development of solutions to key challenges in healthcare. 50 customers from Germany and across Europe accepted the invitation and gathered at the re:mynd event location in the east of Frankfurt. “With this user meeting, we aim to establish Mesalvo as a leading thought leader in the industry. Such events provide the ideal platform to gather customer feedback, connect internal teams, and jointly calibrate Mesalvo’s direction,” emphasized Holger Cordes, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mesalvo. “Our goal is to actively involve our customers as an integral part of product management. Together, we focus on and prioritize topics in order to tackle the shared challenges in our healthcare system through strategic and innovative approaches – and to create added value.”

Highlights: Networking, Practical Insights & Partner Presentations

Prior to the Mesalvo FUTURE HEALTH Summit, a meeting of the Customer Executive Steering Group took place. In this small, selected circle, clinical decision-makers and IT managers engaged in an intensive exchange with Mesalvo’s executive management and actively contributed to shaping the future roadmap.

Carmen Hentschel skillfully and humorously moderated the program and created a relaxed atmosphere. Highlights included the keynote by Dr. Sven Jungmann, a digital health expert, who in his lecture “Building Bridges Between Vision and Reality” demonstrated how artificial intelligence (AI) can create real added value for clinics and patients. The interactive panel discussion with Dr. Sven Jungmann, Markus Großmann (Head of IT at the Hessing Foundation in Augsburg), Holger Cordes (CEO of Mesalvo), and PD Dr. Matthias Wuttke (CIO of Mesalvo) continued the topic and encouraged discussions about the opportunities and challenges of AI in healthcare.

Prof. Dr. Ivo Quack, Chief Physician of the Gesundheitsverbund Landkreis Konstanz, and Philipp Ritzeler, Clinical Pharmacist at Marienhospital Gelsenkirchen, shared their experiences as users and demonstrated how Mesalvo’s solutions make their daily clinical work more efficient and improve patient care. Presentations by Mesalvo partners Medanets and Omilon rounded off the program. Medanets presented a mobile solution that relieves nursing staff and increases the quality of care directly at the patient’s bedside. Together with Medanets, Mesalvo is the first provider in Germany to offer a complete end-to-end closed-loop medication management system with mobile scanning functionality directly at the patient’s bedside.

Omilon presented a speech-based documentation solution that increases efficiency in clinics. In collaboration with Omilon, Mesalvo is developing innovative AI solutions under the concept of Ambient AI (Ambient Artificial Intelligence) for speech-system-independent documentation and navigation. Ambient AI uses technology to automatically detect, respond, and generate insights through the mere presence of people – without requiring active user interaction. These systems are triggered autonomously and carry out their tasks independently. In breakout sessions, participants were able to delve deeper into topics such as medication, intensive care, and emergency care in small groups.

Successful Launch with a Promising Future

“We provided our customers with a comprehensive insight into the central role of data in our strategy and its impact on the daily work of clinicians. With our cloud platform strategy Cortex, we enable central data usage and a unified view of health data via the Clinical Data Repository (CDR). This step into the future includes the standardization of clinical data, the modeling of care processes, and the further development of health information exchange. Customers confirmed that our strategy – the path to the cloud, increased mobility, and full interoperability – is being very well received. We are no longer just the ones implementing existing requirements, but the ones actively shaping the future of health and care,” explains William Oliver, Chief Customer Officer (CCO) of Mesalvo.

The consistently positive feedback from participants confirms the success of the first Mesalvo FUTURE HEALTH Summit and the relevance of the format. This motivating feedback provides the foundation to further expand the Summit: with a broader range of topics, a wider circle of participants, and greater customer involvement. Planning for the Mesalvo FUTURE HEALTH Summit 2025 is already in full swing – with the aim of further deepening the dialogue and driving innovation in healthcare IT.
