Through a standardized HL7 interface, the teleradiology service from Raya Diagnostics is now directly – without an intermediary portal – deeply integrated into the existing radiology information system MC³ Radiology | RadCentre. The on-site team can now access the support of external specialists with a single click and seamlessly integrate them into their clinical workflow. The entire radiological workflow – including the legally required justification and the report creation – runs 100% digitally, without media disruptions, system changes, or additional steps.
Fully Integrated Process in the RIS
With the introduction of teleradiology, Lausitzer Seenland Klinikum is strengthening its radiological structures – particularly for night and on-call services. Examination requests are created as usual in MC³ Radiology | RadCentre and can be transmitted by MTRs along with all relevant patient data and questions to Raya. There, experienced specialists handle the legally required justification as well as the report creation across the entire radiological service spectrum. The finalized reports are transferred back directly into the RIS in a structured, revision-proof, and seamless manner and are immediately available. This ensures reliable reporting around the clock – regardless of location. As a result, the quality of care remains consistently high, while the hospital’s own medical team experiences noticeable relief. The established radiological standard is not replaced but purposefully enhanced with greater flexibility, efficiency, and future readiness.

Real Relief in the Radiological Workday
“Thanks to the integration, the workflow for my radiology staff has become significantly faster and simpler – a real relief in our daily work. We save time, avoid duplicate tasks, and increase transparency throughout the entire radiological process,” says Dr. med. Matthias G. Schreiber, Chief Physician at the Institute for Radiology of Lausitzer Seenland Klinikum.
Modern, User-Friendly, Future-Proof
The implementation focused on high user-friendliness. Clearly structured interfaces, automated processes, and transparent status displays – for example, through an intuitive traffic-light system for the justification process – ensure that MTRs and medical staff always maintain an overview. The hospital can now request reporting support at any time with a single click. The solution is also ideally suited for use in home-office scenarios, flexibly supporting the requirements of modern working environments in radiology.
Project in Routine Operation – More to Follow
The solution is already operating successfully in routine use. Other facilities that also use Mesalvo’s MC³ Radiology | RadCentre as their RIS are close to implementing similar teleradiology projects.
