Addressing current topics and questions that our customers face daily, live and in an attractive event format, was the top priority during the planning phase of the virtual seminar series “Healthcare IT – Concrete!”

This exclusive seminar series for customers of the software provider Mesalvo included six digital rooms that participants could visit virtually throughout the event. Over 30 lectures and presentations on various healthcare topics were held in these six thematically structured digital rooms.

Participants could build their own customized agendas based on their topic preferences. The available rooms were: “Hospital,” “Emergency Department,” “Laboratory,” “Radiology,” “Hospital Administration,” and “Hospital Pharmacy” – a total of 550 customers attended the live presentations.

The program included topics such as: E.care ED – The Expert System for Emergency Departments, insights into BusinessCentre’s Material Management, RadCentre Dose View, Analytics with LabCentre, and Cytostatic Production and Drug Taxation.

Priv.-Doz. Dr. med. Matthias Orth, Medical Director of the Institute for Laboratory Medicine and a specialist in laboratory medicine at Marienhospital Stuttgart, enriched the virtual seminar series as a guest speaker. He offered fascinating insights into his day-to-day work with the web-based “LabCentre Practice Portal.” He praised not only the immediate (and location-independent) availability of lab results in the portal, but also the improved engagement of referring physicians and the shortened turnaround time (TAT), as no manual order entry in the lab is required.
