This week, the 104th German Radiology Congress kicks off in Wiesbaden, and the Mesalvo team is ready and excited to present the product highlights and radiology solutions for a complete radiology workflow.
RadCentre Patient Portal
The RadCentre patient portal can now also be used without the deployment of an enterprise scheduling solution, reducing license costs and setup efforts. The portal has also been extended with an ISiK-compliant interface, making it possible in the future to integrate the patient portal into other systems, such as HIS systems, independently of RadCentre. ISiK stands for IT systems in hospitals as a future interoperability standard in healthcare and enables, among other things, a standardized appointment scheduling function.
The RadCentre patient portal’s functionality has been further expanded and now includes a report view. Registered patients can digitally receive their reports after examinations – provided appropriate consent is given. This not only reduces wait times but also cuts down on paper usage and the need for CD creation.
A multi-patient view is being developed, allowing future management of appointments and documents for multiple patients. This will help patients organize family appointments and is a first step toward a referrer portal. Additionally, a solution is being developed to provide patients with individual forms in the portal to better prepare for their upcoming examination appointment.
AI Solutions
The Radiology Information System (RIS) RadCentre can now communicate with various AI providers. Radiological images can thus be transmitted directly to an AI system. With real-time status notifications in the reporting workflow, it is always clear whether the images are still being analyzed by the AI system or whether the results are already available.
Furthermore, the AI system results can be fed back into the report. For example, graphics can be directly integrated into the final report.
RadCentre Report Assistance
With RadCentre report assistance, Mesalvo goes one step further: not only are data automatically transferred into the RIS report, but it also ensures that radiologists create standardized and complete reports – without having to give up free dictation. RadCentre report assistance is an extension of the RIS RadCentre and understands what radiologists dictate, providing time-saving suggestions. Thanks to Natural Language Processing (NLP), texts are captured and processed using algorithms and predefined rules. Unstructured data, such as clinical notes or radiological findings, can thus be analyzed and categorized. The advantage: incomplete or inconsistent reports are avoided.
Digital Dictation
A highlight in RadCentre result reporting is the digital dictation functionality, now available without additional external costs. It allows dictation to be created directly in the report by the radiologist, which can then be listened to and transcribed by secretarial staff. The final report can then be quickly reviewed and approved in the “Reporting” module by the respective radiologist.
Connected Healthcare Communication – Mesalvo as the Only RIS Provider Included in the TI Score
Mesalvo has been approved by gematik (the national agency for digital health applications) as a provider of VPN access services and offers users an all-inclusive package consisting of certified solutions for secure TI connectivity of hospitals or practices from a single source. As the only RIS provider, Mesalvo is also listed and ranked in all areas (ePA, eAU, eDoctorLetter, and ePrescription) in gematik’s TI Score. This ensures that everyone involved in optimal patient care benefits from the opportunities of networking.
Visitors of the 104th German Radiology Congress 2023 are warmly invited to schedule a personal meeting with the experts on-site and learn everything about Mesalvo’s latest developments and solution highlights live in Wiesbaden.
