Electronic data transmission is mandatory for all physicians and hospitals. The goal is to relieve health authorities and speed up the flow of information. Since September 17, 2022, data for the DEMIS bed report and DEMIS hospitalization report must be transmitted electronically to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI).

DEMIS Bed Reporting and ClinicCentre

• Using the configuration in ClinicCentre, the operational and occupied beds for adults and children are automatically determined in the background for the DEMIS bed report. The determined values are automatically transmitted to the RKI at a configured time. A report in ClinicCentre allows you to view the data sent to the RKI.

DEMIS Hospitalization Reporting and ClinicCentre

• For the DEMIS hospital report, the documented diagnoses for the patient are reviewed. A form is available for documenting the data required by the RKI for hospital stays. The diagnosis specified by the RKI for data transmission triggers a task in ClinicCentre to create the form. After the form is created and saved, a task is triggered to approve the form. After approval, the data is available for transmission to the RKI via the FHIR interface. The data is transmitted at the configured time in ClinicCentre.
